4 Dominicans will appear on the 2024 Hall of Fame ballot

With the selection of Scott Rolen to the 2023 Hall of Fame class also came the announcement of who will appear on the first-time 2024 ballot for Cooperstown.
Adrian Beltre leads the Dominicans, they will also appear joseph bautista, barton colon Y Jose Reyes. Among the Latinos are also the Venezuelan Victor Martínez and the Mexican Adrián “El Titán” González.
Matt Holliday, Jim Johnson, Joe Mauer, Brandon Phillips, James Schields, Chase Utley, David Wright and Brad Ziegler round out the list of names making their debut on next year’s ballot.
The list is already published on the official website of the Baseball Hall of Fame and it is clarified once again that: “Eligible players have played 10 seasons in Major League Baseball and have retired for five full seasons. For example, those players eligible for consideration in 2023 played their last game in 2017. Those players eligible for consideration in 2024 will have last played in 2018.”
The summary of Beltré’s career published on said page presents him as: The four-time All-Star and five-time Gold Glove third baseman, he played 21 seasons for the Dodgers, Mariners, Red Sox and Rangers. He totaled 636 doubles, 477 home runs, and 1,707 RBIs. He is among players who appeared in at least 50 percent of his games at third base, he is the only player in Major League history with at least 3,000 hits and 450 home runs. He played 2,759 games at third base, second on the all-time list.

Todd Helton, Billy Wagner, Gary Sheffield (55%), Carlos Beltrán (46.5%), Alex Rodríguez (35.7%), Manny Ramírez (33.2%), Omar Vizquel (19.5%), Andy Pettitte (17%), Bobby Abreu (15.4%), Jimmy Rollins (12.9%), Mark Buehrle (10.8%), Francisco Rodríguez (10.8%) and Torii Hunter (6.9%).
