The new Skoda Octavia comes with attractive design, ChatGPT, petrol and diesel engines up to 265 PS.
Skoda has unveiled for the first time an updated version of its most popular and successful model, the Octavia. After four generations and 27 years of presence on the market (it was launched in 1996), the number of sedans from the Czech company has exceeded 7.15 million units sold in 60 markets. Space and load capacity, advanced technology, excellent value for money, reliability and solvency, as well as a highly practical and functional approach have become the arguments that traditionally convince the public looking for a complete, holistic, rational and versatile car.
The added value of the Octavia lies precisely in its restraint and prestige. Unfazed by passing fashions, revolutionary designs and resources that are more flashy than intelligent, the Czech three-volume set continues to rely on its traditional strengths.
Since its launch, the Octavia has convinced the public that they want a car that is complete, holistic, efficient and versatile.
The goal of Mladá Boleslav’s technicians when implementing improvements is to add value to customers, make life easier for drivers on board and implement tangible changes with real results and benefits. So, unlike other manufacturers’ updates that focus on “change for the sake of change”, Skoda has focused on achievements that, rather than surprise, convince its potential buyers and users.
In this sense, to refresh its appeal and create a more emotional image, the new Octavia debuts with a redesigned grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, as well as logos and lettering in line with Skoda’s updated design language, as well as new alloy wheels.16. 17, 18 and 19 inches.
Visual improvements also come from the new Octavia’s lighting technology, which includes second-generation Matrix LED headlights with new Crystallimium elements and 36 individual matrix segments that provide 40% more light output than the previous generation and better protection for drivers. driving in the opposite direction against bright headlights. The LED taillights with animated turn signals have also been redesigned.
The Octavia uses recycled fabrics and eco-treated leather, making it more environmentally friendly.
Inside, in addition to new eco-friendly materials for the seats, dashboard and door panels, select model variants now feature a new 10-inch digital screen. The popular 10-inch Virtual Cockpit remains available, and a 13-inch infotainment screen will be offered as an option on the model for the first time.
However, the most striking technological innovation of the updated Octavia is the ChatGPT chatbot based on artificial intelligence, which will later be integrated as standard into the Laura voice assistant. This will introduce many new features that will go beyond the previously known commands.
Mechanical range of the new Skoda Octavia
Mechanically, the range includes two 1.5 TSI petrol engines with 115 and 150 hp, optionally available with mild hybrid technology (mHEV) mated to a DSG gearbox. Above are two more powerful 2.0 TSI petrol engines with 204 hp coming in 2025 and 265 hp in line with the RS saga.
As is tradition for the brand, the RS family of versions will carry over Skoda’s sporting heritage into the top-end Octavia, in both sedan and family (Combi) body styles. Finally, the mechanical options are equipped with two diesel units with a capacity of 115 and 150 hp.
