Samsung kicks off the era of AI smartphones with the Galaxy Ring at MWC Barcelona 2024 – Samsung Newsroom Peru

The world’s largest exhibition in the field of mobile communications, Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024), kicked off on February 26 (local time) in Barcelona, Spain.

Under the overarching theme of “Future First”, MWC explores some of the biggest topics in technology, showcasing various cutting-edge technologies that are expected to shape our future, including artificial intelligence, 5G and 6G networks and the Internet of Things (IoT). This year’s exhibition is expected to attract around 100,000 visitors, which is estimated to be comparable to pre-pandemic numbers.

Samsung Electronics welcomes visitors to its booths in Halls 2 and 3, offering a closer look at its mobile, networking and semiconductor businesses. In particular, the long-awaited Galaxy Ring design, presented at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 exhibition in January last year, is being shown to the public for the first time.

Samsung’s news team took a look at these booths to find out what it is that attracts so many people. He also visited the Galaxy Experience Space in Plaza Catalunya in central Barcelona.

When MWC doors opened on 26 February, the 1,745 square meter Galaxy stand at Fira Gran Via was packed with visitors, including media representatives, industry partners and experts. Everyone was hoping to get their hands on the Galaxy S24 series, dubbed the “AI phone,” unveiled last month, and be among the first to see the Galaxy Ring design with their own eyes.

The Galaxy AI Zone offers visitors an intuitive experience using Samsung’s latest innovative features, including simultaneous translation, which allows users to overcome language barriers even when talking on the phone; “Mark for Search,” which gives users the ability to search for an item they see in a photo or video by simply pressing the Home button and circling the item; Notes assistant that generates short summaries of long texts; and Generative Editing, which allows users to edit photos like a pro.

The Samsung booth also has a dedicated area where visitors can check out the camera capabilities of the Galaxy S24 series. A dark room with blackout curtains that block out light shows the potential of the new Nightography feature and its AI-powered ProVisual Engine, which provides increased stability when shooting photos and videos.

In addition, the Samsung booth offers visitors the opportunity to experience the new Galaxy Book4 series and its connectivity options. Additionally, as the latest Galaxy AI features arrived on the Galaxy S23 series via a software update, these phones were showcased so that visitors could experience Samsung’s innovations in previous models.

With much excitement ahead of the Galaxy Ring’s unveiling at MWC 2024, media and visitors around the world have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to experience Samsung’s latest product.

With its small form factor and innovative technologies, Samsung Galaxy Ring offers integrated analytics based on health data collected throughout the day and night. Although the Galaxy Ring has not yet launched, it is already wowing audiences with three color options (black, gold and silver) and nine different sizes.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Experience Space, located in Plaça Catalunya in central Barcelona, attracted a crowd of visitors eager to experience Galaxy AI in searching, translating, summarizing and editing in ways never seen before.

Galaxy Experience Space has been open since February 15th and will remain open until today, February 29th, the last day of MWC 2024.
