Jordan drops new humanitarian aid airdrops on northern Gaza

The Jordanian Armed Forces reported this Friday three launches with humanitarian aid packages on northern Gaza, which the day before was the scene of a new tragedy when, according to the Palestinian version, Israel destroyed a crowd gathering trucks bringing food. But there was firing. The Jordanian Armed Forces said, “This measure is part of Jordan’s efforts to send more medical, relief and food aid to the population of the Strip with the aim of reducing the effects of the war.”

They have stressed that they will continue to send humanitarian aid and food, either through El Arish International Airport in Egypt or through air drops over the Palestinian enclave.

The Israeli military has assured that this new Jordanian aid consisted of approximately fifty packages, which ended up in four different areas of Gaza. A day earlier he had told that part of another consignment had fallen in Israeli territory due to strong winds.

More than a hundred people were killed, with 700 injured, as a result of a “massacre” committed by Israeli forces on Thursday, according to Strip officials, who fired into a crowd approaching a convoy seeking help. Eat Israel, which acknowledged that soldiers fired into the crowd, says most died of suffocation or were crushed by trucks driven by Gazan civilians. (agencies)
