This is what the Final Four looks like after Panathinaikos’ victory
The Athens team beat Maccabi Tel Aviv to become the second classified team.
This Tuesday, Panathinaikos beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 81-72 in the fifth game of the quarter-final playoffs that they faced, and became the second team after Real Madrid to reach the Final Four in Berlin (24 -May 26), where this season’s Euroleague champion title will be determined.
The remaining two participants will be determined this Wednesday and will be the winners of the matches Barca – Olympiacos and Monaco – Fenerbahce, which ended 2:2 after the first four matches.
With Panathinaikos’ victory today, the home team’s historic record of winning a fifth game remains intact. There have been 19 Game 5s in the EuroLeague playoffs so far, all of which have been won by teams playing at home.
