According to Steam Charts, 24 hours before these lines are published Elden Ring 76,391 players played simultaneously on the Valve platform. This is a terrible number compared to the historical figure of 950,000+ CCU, but enough to illustrate a clear trend: people are returning to FromSoftware’s RPGs. If you’re more or less attentive to the world, you probably know very well why.
On June 21, Hidetaka Miyazaki and his talents will release the first expansion pack—which is the Japanese studio’s largest to date—for the game: Shadow of the Erdtree. Considering that Elden Ring has had such popularity that it has become practically a mass phenomenon, it is not surprising that many are interested in it. back to action once your downloadable content is unlocked.
People are preparing for the “Shadow of Airdtree”
I realize that the CGI trailer for the Shadow of Airdtree story that aired last week is also a little bomb. hype which will prompt many to warm up their engines right now, and we’ll likely see activity levels stabilize before the download is released, but it’s still an interesting panorama considering there hasn’t been any no recent layoff nor content update. Those who are there have returned and become strong when what we all expect comes.
If you’re thinking of opening Elden Ring to collect stones for forging like a condemned man before Shadow of the Erdtree releases, I personally advise you to calm down: FromSoftware has already stated that there will be some kind of balance tool so that you can have a good time regardless whether you have a very high level character or not. If you make sure you get to Mog, you’ll be fine.
