“Tomorrow I will see if I can continue to participate in the tournament”
Serbian Novak Djokovic On Monday, he assured that he felt pain in his right knee in the 1/8 finals match of the tournament. Roland Garros against Argentina Francisco Serundolo and said he would undergo tests on Tuesday to see if he could continue.
“At the end of the game I didn’t feel any pain because I took the medicine. I took a few tests which came back positive, but tomorrow we will do more tests and see if I can continue playing,” the player said.
Djokovic, who noted he had been experiencing discomfort in his right knee for several weeks, said he was thinking about retiring during the match but wanted to give the medication a chance to see if it could be fixed.
“I could barely move, I didn’t want to do long exchanges, and he noticed this and dropped me a lot, I was moving a lot. I couldn’t run,” he said.

The Serb said that he played from the last part of the fourth set without problems and was able to win back the match.
The world number one complained about the condition of the track, which he said had less dirt than in other cases, which could have led to this injury.
“I asked them to sweep it, but they didn’t. I think the injury could have been avoided,” he said.
But he also believed the injury could have been due to “wear and tear” as he played 4½ hours to beat Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in the third round last Saturday.
