Miley spoke about the adjustment in the number of ministries in Argentina, which led to the layoff of 25,000 people and assured, “We are going to layoff 75,000 people,” which means a difference of 50,000 compared to the previous figure.

“Obviously we are laying off people, let’s say, in terms of contract we are going to lay off all 75,000 people, we already have 25,000 people, not only has the number of ministries been halved, we have also abolished discretionary transfers to provinces, we have completely abolished public works, we have abolished contracts.

When referring to critics of his reforms, Miley threatened to veto those initiatives that, in his opinion, “seek to break the fiscal balance.”
