Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be released in September for PC, PS5, Switch and Xbox Series X/S
Dragami Games has announced the release date for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP.
This game is a remaster of the hacked 2012 film directed by Goichi “Suda51″ Suda (Heroes No More, Silver Case), written by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Suicide Squad) and music by Akira Yamaoka (Speechless movie”). Hill), although he did not collaborate with any of them.
The story takes us to the San Romero Institute, and its main character is Juliet, who is not only an artist, but also part of a family clan of zombie hunters.
The project was announced in 2022 by original game producer Yoshimi Yasuda, originally planned for 2023. At the time, Yasuda indicated that the main reason for the game’s restoration was difficulties in accessing the original game on current platforms.
In August 2023, the game was delayed until the summer of 2024, and a couple of months later, Yasuda assured that the game had changed its design to be more faithful to the original and closer to a remaster than a remake.
RePop will introduce various improvements, including improved resolution, reduced loading times, a new combo system available from the start of the game, and changes to time management.
New content has been added for the occasion, including an additional “RePop mode” that changes the art direction, new chainsaws, new outfits for Juliet, and a Time Attack mode.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will release on September 25th on PC, PlayStation 5, Switch and Xbox Series X/S.
