Spanish Grand Prix promises off-track fun

The excitement of the 2024 FORMULA 1 ARAMCO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA will be felt not only on the track, but also off it. Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has prepared a series of exciting events for all spectators, starting on Thursday 20 June in the afternoon and ending on Sunday 23 June after the Formula 1 race.

Guaranteed fun in the fan zone

FanZone, located in the public area behind the main stand, has become an important landmark and offers entertainment for all tastes. This edition will feature no shortage of eSports simulations, podium re-creations and selfies with the drivers, wind tunnel simulations and the chance to see the car and championship trophy. There will also be virtual pit visits where you can explore a Formula 1 garage with augmented reality, as well as a pit stop challenge where participants must change the tires of a Formula 1 car in the shortest possible time.

In addition, there will be a stage where some of the event’s main characters (drivers and team managers) will be interviewed on Friday and Saturday in front of all fans who choose to attend. Fan forum. God Save the Queen will perform there on Saturday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.

One track, different entertainment areas

The Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit still has a wide range of venues scattered throughout the circuit, providing endless amounts of entertainment. In the first, activities will focus on sustainability and the environment, and you will be able to see an art installation of cubes with mirrors. For this occasion, the figure will represent a visual bonfire with the aim of raising viewers’ awareness of fires and the fragility of nature in summer. In the second, kids will be able to conduct a painting workshop using a recycled car built last year, as well as create new cars out of paper. They can also get temporary tattoos and take part in traditional games made from wooden or recycled elements.

There will also be a beauty corner with colorful hair extensions, printed tattoos, charms and nail art.

Space Summer Festival is a big novelty this year and will offer, at the same time as the San Juan festival, a typical bonfire – albeit unlit – accompanied by explanations about the traditions that take place on this festive night in Catalonia, as well as many other games and activities: Scalextric track, table football , Speed ​​Game, Racing Emotions mural, etc.

Finally, in Orange zonededicated to the public in the Netherlands, Dutch DJ-administrator Rick Jansen will be in charge of the fan animation throughout the weekend.

DJ Dolsa Van Leeuwen He will also take the lead role at Sunday’s Grand Prix and will perform several songs on Sunday from 12:50 to 13:00 and from 13:30 to 14:00 before the opening ceremony and anthems.

Another new feature this year will be the delivery of a piece San Juan Coca (a traditional sweet from Catalonia), on Sunday 23rd, for the first visitors to the circuit (while supplies last). On this day, the Catalan circuit will open its doors at 6:00 am, and early risers will also be able to watch the 2023 Formula 1 race through screens located throughout the circuit.

Pit Walk and Open Track: Two Unique Experiences

As usual, on Thursday, June 20, from 17:30 to 19:30. Pit Walk, allowing fans access to the pit lane where some of the World Championship drivers are expected to be present. To ensure the event runs properly, capacity will be controlled this year through free invitations that can be downloaded from the Circuit website, which are already sold out. People without a free invitation will not be able to access the track or take part in the event, despite having a GP ticket.
