FC Cartagena SAD announces today the appointment of Joaquín Martínez as the club’s new Director of Public Relations. This position also covers all relations with La Liga regarding the expansion of the Impulso plan and its respective verticals related to communications and marketing.

Joaquín Martínez arrived at CF Cartagena in the summer of 2021 to join the Sports Commission after almost ten years at the Pinatar Arena football centre. In the last two seasons, he served as our subsidiary’s representative in the 2nd RFEF.

45-year-old journalist Joaquin Martinez began his career in the media, particularly radio, in 1998. Associated with Radio Marca since its inception, Efesé’s new director of public relations was head of TVM’s sports department and director of sports programs. on Autonomous Television 7MR, being the main football announcer of the channel for eight seasons.

Since the end of 2012, his figure has become much more connected with football with his arrival at Pinatar Arena, where he worked for nine years as Director of Public Relations and Deputy Director of the Football Centre.

After three seasons with us, Joaquín Martínez takes up the position of FC Cartagena Communications Director just at the start of an exciting new season in La Liga, which will be the fifth consecutive season, the first in history, for the Albinegro team in professional football.
