How do you rate the elimination?

We can’t blame ourselves. I’m disappointed but proud of the team. There were moments in this game when the opponent was better and controlled the game in the middle. But thanks to the changes we started to play better and England got back to the same state as in other games. At the end of the game I had a feeling that we could score, especially if we went into extra time. But unfortunately we got this goal, it’s over and it’s hard to accept.

How do you rate the draw penalty that the referee turned to VAR?

I can’t say too much and I don’t understand why we are talking about VAR. But using it in this way is ruining football.

Xavi is a great talent. Of course, he has had less good games, but in my opinion he has improved a lot in this tournament. We will have a lot of fun with him in the Dutch national team.

What can you say to the fans?
