Diesel, ECO label and anti-SUV, or how Audi continues to bet on the traditional car in 2024

When it seemed like SUVs and electric cars were dominating the market, Audi seemed to show that they weren’t. Or at least that they were perfectly compatible to coexist in peace and harmony with cars like the new Audi A5a 4.82-metre-long sedan that will replace the A4 with an ECO-branded diesel engine.

But by focusing first on the design section, we find a car that continues the design language introduced by the Q6 e-tronThis is evidenced by the A5 with its Singleframe grille and two LED headlights with dynamic technology, which allows the design they display to vary.

This star 2.0-liter turbodiesel producing 204 hp and 400 Nm of torque. A pretty logical engine for a sedan like the A5, but it makes even more sense thanks to the ECO label it gets thanks to the MHEV plus system, which allows it to perform more maneuvers using the electric motor.

Added to this is the 2.0 TSI, an engine with 150 and 204 hp.and later they will also appear with the ECO badge, as well as PHEV variants. But for now, it is the S5 that is considered the top variant, thanks to its 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine (and the ECO badge), which produces 367 hp.

The Audi A5 is now available in Spain. at a price of 51,000 euros hand in hand with the available trim and a 150 hp petrol engine. If you choose the Avant variant, the bill rises to 53,250 euros.
