WhatsApp is working on its own translation system to make it easier to communicate in chats with messages in different languages. This new feature will appear in the next update.

The tech firm will soon integrate a translation system into its messaging service based on language packs that users can download to make it work locally.

In principle, you will be able to translate the selected message or conversation automatically, as explained by the specialized portal WABetainfo, which was able to test this in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android version 2.24.15.12. Translated messages will have a mark that allows you to distinguish them.

It should be noted that although the industry media has called this new feature a Google Translate integration, it is a proprietary system. Initially, it will support English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Arabic, Russian and Hindi, and since the technology works locally, chats support end-to-end encryption.
