Novak Djokovic will face Rafael Nadal on Monday in the most anticipated match of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 60th meeting between the two, the most contentious encounter of the Open era, will take place in the second round of the Philippe-Chatrier tournament at 1:30 p.m. local time. They will meet after the women’s singles match between No. 1 seed Iga Swiatek and Diana Parry.
This will be the first meeting between Djokovic and Nadal since the 2022 Roland Garros quarterfinals, which were held on the same court and which Nadal won in four sets. Djokovic leads the legendary Lexus ATP HeadToHead matchup 30-29.
The pair met in the semi-finals of the Beijing Olympics, where Nadal won in three sets and eventually won the gold medal. Djokovic won the bronze medal.

The focus will also be on doubles, including mixed doubles. Laura Siegemund and Alexander Zverev, who secured the United Cup title for Germany this year, will play the Czechs Tomas Machac and Katerina Siniakova in the first round.
