Anime Punished for Using Google Images — Kudasai
Recently, Japanese fans of the anime “Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary” have spotted a mistake in the series’ most recent episodein particular in Episode 7. The resolution refers to an image of an iconic place in Gifu City, which shows the “Toshi Keikan 100-Sen” monument located on the hill leading to the Kinkazan Ropeway Station.
The screenshot shared by internet users shows that the monument in the anime has an unusual shape that does not correspond to reality. The bug occurred when animators apparently took a screenshot of Google Street View and used it as it appears on the platform, without realizing the problem with Google’s camera display. This resulted in the monument, which is actually semi-circular in shape, appearing noticeably deformed, as can be seen from the red circle marked in the image.
