Non-plug-in hybrid

On the global market for more than two decades, and recently in Peru, hybrids combine electric and gasoline engines to improve efficiency. As emissions standards become stricter, these models become quieter and more efficient. Although these cars have an above-average starting price, they offer two main advantages: the ease of use of an electric car and the less frequent need for maintenance than a gasoline car.

Plug-in hybrid (PHEV)

This type of electrified vehicle has a battery pack that provides an electric range of 20 to 50 miles. When the car reaches the end of its electric range, it can easily transform into a conventional hybrid electric vehicle. If for some reason you don’t connect it, you can use the gasoline engine. They are also typically more powerful than non-plug-in hybrids.

Battery electric vehicles (EBV)

Conceptually simple, VEBs are powered by a rechargeable battery. Smooth driving, fewer moving parts and the ability to export energy are notable advantages. As for Omoda, the brand has its first 100% electric car: the Omoda E5 with a range of 430 kilometers.
