Our club and Atalanta have reached an agreement on the loan of the Argentine national team goalkeeper, the 2021 America’s Champion and last season’s Europa League champion.
Atletico Madrid and Atalanta have reached an agreement on the loan of Juan Musso, who will play for our club until the end of the season.
The Argentine goalkeeper, 30, stands 191 centimeters tall and is an excellent aerial player. He has extensive experience in the Italian Serie A, where he has played for the last six seasons after starting his professional career with Racing Club Avellaneda in his native country.
Trained in the lower categories of the San Nicolás Regatas, in 2012 he signed a contract with the aforementioned racing club, where he became Argentine champion in 2014. He later made the jump to Europe with Udinese, in whose dressing room he coincided with another footballer, now also red and white, like Rodrigo de Paul. He has played for Atalanta for the last three seasons, with whom he won the Europa League last year. In total, he played 203 games during his stay in Italy, which played a decisive role in winning the first continental title in the history of Atalanta.
An international player in the youth categories of the Argentina national team, he made his debut in 2019 for the senior team and won the Copa America in 2021 and the Finalissima in 2022.
The goalkeeper underwent the appropriate medical examination at the Vithas-Invictum Sports Medicine Center at the Arturo Soria University Hospital in Madrid, after which he signed a new contract.
