Visions of Mana Reveals Release Window on Xbox Developer_Direct
The first game in the Mana saga in more than 15 years will be multi-platform
Xbox Developer_Direct also introduced a cross-platform announcement thanks to Square Enix’s participation in the livestream. The company held a presentation Visions of Manathe first new installment of the saga in almost 20 years since its appearance in 1991 as a spin-off of Final Fantasy.
In the video shown, the game showed its bright graphics through a beautiful world in which the forces of nature combine with the elemental spirits of Mana, creating a wide variety of environments. However, the player will have to travel through all sorts of charming places with very smooth transitions, taking advantage of semi-open world system.
Koichi Ishii, the creator of the saga, was first responsible for creating the monsters from the saga games, and now controls the implementation and evolution of the enemies. The presentation included new friends such as piculsa species that runs on all fours and can carry the protagonist while traveling through the game’s terrain at full speed.
Visions of Mana will be released this summer
Visions of Mana showcased its roleplaying in real-time combat, and also expects up to 100 songs throughout its adventure, in which every four years, votive offerings from around the world make a pilgrimage to the Tree of Mana to revitalize the Manna Channel. Val, the main character, will be in charge of security this time after his friend is chosen as a sacrifice.
To end the presentation, Visions of Mana has completed its launch in the summer of 2024., confirmed for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, recent rumors indicate that it will appear on the successor console of the Nintendo Switch, but this will not be confirmed either before its presentation or later.
