We already know when iOS 18.1 will be released with Apple Intelligence

Apple announced mid-year Apple Intelligenceits new system based on artificial intelligence. However, there is no exact time frame for the full release of all AI-based features.

According to renowned Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Users will finally be able to try out these new features with the release of iOS 18.1 at the end of October.

Apple originally planned to release iOS 18.1 in mid-October, but decided to push back the date to ensure there were no bugs and to ensure its AI cloud servers could handle traffic from millions of users during the update.

Although the full version of Apple Intelligence will be released later, iOS 18.1 introduces a preview of core AI features. While other iPhone models compatible with iOS 18 will be able to install the update, they won’t have access to these new Apple Intelligence tools.

Below we detail the main features you’ll find in iOS 18.1:

  • writing instruments: In any app where you use a keyboard, Apple Intelligence can help you correct grammatical and spelling errors, and suggest suggestions for retyping text with a specific tone.
  • Photos: The Photos app has received three major improvements. Tool Clear will allow you to eliminate unwanted people and objects in your images. In addition, a new feature Film Memory It will create a slideshow of photos and videos using a simple text command. Also added is the ability to search old images and videos in natural language.

  • Resume: Apple Intelligence-compatible devices will be able to automatically generate summaries and transcripts of recordings, whether phone calls or recorded voice notes, using a new audio feature in the Notes app.

  • Siri: While the most significant improvements to Siri will come in later updates like iOS 18.4, in this version we’ll see more capabilities to answer more questions and troubleshoot issues related to Apple products.

  • Mail: Later this year, the Mail app will be redesigned to sort messages into categories like Direct Messages, Receipts, Offers, and Newsletters. Meanwhile, iOS 18.1 introduces automatic email digests, smart replies for quick responses, and priority messages that highlight important emails with calls to action.

At the moment we do not know when Apple Intelligence will arrive in Spain, since support for the Spanish language will not arrive until next year, and on the other hand, the European Union must approve the rollout of these functions.
