This coming Wednesday, the Ministry of Health will begin administering the flu and Covid vaccine to homes for the elderly and people with disabilities in the Murcia region, as well as their staff.
The announcement was made this Monday by the Minister of Health, Juan José Pedreño, who also announced that next Monday, the 14th, immunizations against these two diseases will begin in health centers for the “target population” over 60 years of age.
On that day, it will also be open to medical personnel and pregnant women, a group to which Pedreño has made a special appeal to get vaccinated. It will open to the rest of the population in December.

This year, the Ministry of Health has purchased about 400,000 doses against influenza and Covid, for which it will allocate 3.8 million euros.
Pedreño reported these developments during the presentation of the school vaccination campaign, which already began last week. At the Nuestra Señora de Atocha school, he recalled that this year immunization with this intranasal vaccine has been expanded to the age group of 2-5 years, compared to 3-4 years in the previous year.
