Pablo Castrillo: Young Spanish talents will continue to shine in the Movistar team

The Movistar team will continue to have many of the best future Spanish riders in its ranks and today announces the addition of Pablo Castrillo (Jaca, Huesca, ESP; 2001). The man from Alto Aragon, who grew up in the ranks of AD Galibier and has been a member of the Kern Pharma team for the last three seasons, has signed a contract with the Telefónica team until the end of 2027.
Brother Jaime, who participated in two campaigns (2018-19) of the team chaired by Eusebio Unzue, Pablo is not only the discovery of La Vuelta 2024, where he brilliantly won two partial stages – Manzaneda (12th stage) and Quito Negro (15th th stage). ) -.

“The last weeks have been a big leap for me as a person and an important boost for my sporting career, as evidenced by the contract with a WorldTour team like the Movistar Team. They are the benchmark of Spanish cycling and it is always especially exciting to ride for this team.
There have been a few weeks to assimilate what has been achieved in La Vuelta and this 2024 season, which I believe has been very regular on my part. These two victories; and also ended up in the home of my new team, in this impressive Telefónica headquarters… It was all very intense, and I don’t intend to forget it.
People who are close to me and told me what the team is about gave me a lot of confidence in this signing. I train with Jorge (Arcas) and he explained to me what the team is like inside, how they are going to take care of me and what is being done well.
