The remake of Silent Hill 2 has just been released, and modders have already introduced classic characters from GTA and Resident Evil.

The modders didn’t have to wait long and got to work. The Silent Hill 2 remake has only been on the market for one day, but the community has already begun working on changing some aspects of the game. Tormented James Sunderland, the protagonist of the classic Konami gamehas been replaced by another legendary video game character, none other than CJ, from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The mod is available on Nexus Mods and was created by SpiritHunz, who used the original character modeling. This means it doesn’t look as detailed as James’s because it’s several generations apart.

Silent Hill and Resident Evil came out at the same time and have been competing ever since, although the horror of both productions is of a different nature. What would happen if Leon S. Kennedy wandered the foggy streets of a cursed city? The answer is in this other mod which places the protagonist of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, among others, in James’ nightmare. Given the active modding community, it is expected that there will be many more additions and changes in the future.

What’s new in the Silent Hill 2 remake

The Silent Hill 2 remake is available on PS5 and PC. The game is developed by Bloober Team. The matter is not limited to improving the graphics sectionremade in Unreal Engine 5, but also introducing numerous gameplay changes affecting the camera, combat and puzzles, as well as the placement of key objects.
