Bulega beat Razgatlioglu by thousandths, and Bautista reached the podium
Since the formation of the Superfield Estoril, stage of the 2024 WSBK season.the weather conditions were ideal and Toprak Razgatlioglu again chose the same tire strategy as on Saturday, with a hard tire at the rear, in contrast to most of the grid. The Turk started from pole and managed to stay in the lead, followed by Danilo Petrucci, but the Italian, along with Andrea Locatelli and Jonathan Rea, overtook him due to softer tyres.
However, the BMW driver recovered and was able to move up to second place, while Nicolo Bulega fought his way from the back of the standings to third place, which became second moments later. The race order left the championship leader in the lead, ahead of three Italians and Alvaro Bautista.
Four laps before the end, Jonathan Rea crashed, and a lap later the Spaniard overtook Andrea Locatelli to take the podium. In the last meters there was a fierce fight for victory between the two contenders for the title, in which Nicolo Bulega won by just three thousandths over Toprak Razgatliogluand the Talavera native finished third after starting eleventh.
