MG3 breaks the silence with new teasers and confirms release date
The arrival of a new MG3 There have been rumors about this for a long time, but we didn’t have a specific date for the meeting… until now. The Chinese company announces the world premiere of the new generation of its hatchback on February 26. The car will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show and is offered as a competitor to the Ibiza, Swift and March. And yes, he’s going to Mexico.
What we see in brief video teaser This matches a photo posted a few days ago. The front end will feature a good-sized grille and sharp headlamps, much like the GT and MG 4. The rear, unveiled for the first time, also showcases sharp features, LED skulls and styling similar to that of the One.
Nothing has been confirmed about the mechanicals, but everything points to it being available in two trim levels. For Europe, there is talk of a purely hybrid system, while other regions such as Mexico could get it with 1.5 liter naturally aspirated enginewith a power of about 110 hp.
No pictures of that insidebut keeping in mind the family-friendly atmosphere, we can expect a slim dashboard with a large screen and the latest amenities that include a wireless phone charger, 360-degree camera, automatic air conditioning and more.
The world premiere is scheduled for the end of February, so it is likely that MG3 I arrived at Mexico during the summer. Given the MG5’s success in the subcompact sedan category, we shouldn’t be surprised if the MG3 does the same in the hatchback category’s sales rankings.
