Subscription plans for the platform just increased to 17% in Spain.
Gone are the days when Disney+ This gave us the opportunity to use the service for 6.99 euros per month or 69.99 euros per year. Since arriving in Spain in 2020, the subscription offer has changed, with new plans added and price increased. The previous increase took place in February 2024, but the entertainment empire has decided to make a new update by the end of the year.
Disney+ has determined that users who subscribe to the service starting October 17 (yesterday, Thursday) will pay a new rate that includes an increase of up to 17%. For those with an active membership, things are a little different. In this case, the change will affect the billing cycle from October 21, 2024. Let’s take a closer look at how much we will sooner or later have to pay for the service.
Disney+ is now more expensive in Spain: tariffs remain the same
Standard plan with ads. This offer, which offers us 1080p Full HD video quality and simultaneous playback on a maximum of 2 devices, will still cost 5.99 euros per month. Please keep in mind that we do not have an annual subscription option and this plan has several limitations such as no downloads for watching offline content and Dolby Atmos compatibility for a better experience.
Standard plan. Here we find the price update. The monthly price of the plan was 8.99 euros, and now it costs 9.99 euros. Therefore, we will have to pay 11% more per month if we want to enjoy the same video quality as in the previous plan, but with the ability to download content for offline viewing. The annual option has also been updated from €89.90 to €99.90, also an increase of 11%.
Premium plan. Disney+’s most ambitious offering is also its most expensive. If previously we paid 11.99 euros per month, now we will pay 13.99 euros per month, that is, almost 17% more. The increase also applies to the annual model, which increases from 119.90 euros to 139.90 euros, which is also about 17% more expensive. This will be the price for viewing content in 4K UHD and HDR formats, Dolby Atmos, offline downloads and other benefits.
What happens if I share my Disney+ account?
Disney+, like Netflix and other platforms, has launched a “war” on shared accounts. If a member of our family or friends wants to use our account, we will have to pay more. This is where what they call “Additional Access” comes into play, allowing you to add additional users who will be able to access the same content of the additional subscription. Let’s see how much you have to pay in each case.

Please remember that the above values are added to the original account’s subscription price. It should be noted that they have not increased, that is, they continue as before.
