why he never created a “destructive black hole”

The so-called “End of the World Machine” is an invention in which tests are carried out at the level of atoms and particles by accelerating and testing their behavior. There was a belief that they were capable of creating a black hole, but this caused hysteria when it turned out that this was not the case. Let’s take a closer look.

Firstly…what is a black hole?

A black hole is a limited region of stellar space whose characteristics are described by Einstein’s equations. It has a very concentrated and large mass, which creates such a strong gravitational field that nothing escapes from it, that is, not particles, not light, not any element.

This gravity causes closed singularity known as the event horizon. Which acts as a boundary zone separating the region dominated by this phenomenon from the rest of the Universe. Therefore, everything that gets inside after this zone is instantly absorbed forever.

Is it possible to create this region of space in a particle accelerator?

The largest particle accelerator in the world, both in terms of collision energy between particles and in extent, is Large Hadron Collider (LHC)which is located in the European Organization for Nuclear Research between France and Switzerland. It was believed that it could create a black hole.

This is a tool that is used for research, as well as for understanding the interactions and properties of the structure of elementary particles. The LHC has beams of protons that travel faster than light, with an energy of 6.5 teraelectronvolts, which is significant.

This energy, at least theoretically, This is less than what is needed to create a black hole.. It also requires two protons to collide at an incredibly short distance, which is currently impossible to achieve with the available LHC, so we’ll need another one with more advanced technology.

But then, is it possible to create micro black holes instead?

Based on the analysis of data on proton collisions at the LHC, evidence was found for the creation and subsequent destruction of a black hole. without any evidence of this so far. Which, paradoxically, became the cause of collective hysteria among researchers.

However, it has been established that among the primary interactions of particles, weak nuclear, strong nuclear and electromagnetic interactions play an important role. Gravity also intervenes, although it is too weak to be measured except with very sensitive equipment.

Likewise, the masses of colliding photonic particles are also very small, so gravitational effects are negligible, at least at the moment of collision. All experiments and tests carried out at the LHC used very short distances.

But at the proton level they are still too large for the particles to be captured by a gravitational field. Now, if the particle masses are very small and this field is very weak, it is hardly possible to create a microblack hole, much less a black hole.

This is the theory of physics as we know it today, but it does not explain some high energy, low mass phenomena, so there must be a more general theory. And within that, there may be a way to achieve at least the creation of micro black holes.

In conclusion, the LHC, known as the Doomsday Machine, is capable of creating very strong interactions at the atomic level, but it is not yet capable of creating black holes because the gravitational field is very small. This impossibility caused mass hysteria in the scientific community.
