Omar Sy and Eva Green in the wonderful jury of the competition
The competition jury for the 77th Cannes Film Festival has been announced: French actor Omar Sy makes a strong appearance with notes from Hirozaku Kore-Eda, Eva Green, Lily Gladstone and an encore of Juan Antonio Bayona.
This is the excellent jury, which was published on Monday at the Cannes Film Festival in a communiqué. American actress and realist Greta Gerwig, chairman of the jury, in a retrospective of the French actor Omar, not in the cinema in Port desormay under the name of the American comedienne Lily Gladstone, magnificent in Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon”, French actress Eva Green (“Casino Royale”) , “The Traitor” by Marco Bellocchio, the great Pierfrancesco Favino, screenwriter, actress and photographer Turke Ebru Ceylan, film director and Lebanese actress Nadine Labaki (“Cafarnaum”), director of the Spanish stage of “Cercle Neiges”, Juan Antonio Bayona and, finally, Japanese cinema Hirokazu Kore-Eda, Palme d’Or for “A Family Affair” in 2018 and that we met in Tokyo in November 2023.

This whole wonderful world is filled with an aura that makes it possible to choose the Palme d’Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival as part of a selection of 22 films. It’s hard to understand why Francis Ford Coppola’s big-screen films have made their way into film history to achieve the Triple Palme with Metropolis.
The 77th Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 14 to 25.
