In “De Seda y Hierro,” Chema shows how technology has changed his daily life. When you approach the entrance to your home, a sign warns your neighbors about the upcoming water shutoff. Chema takes a photo with his mobile phone and the app tells him the content. “I’ve been without water and without electricity many times and didn’t know it,” he says with a smile. Roger’s Transition: From Guide to Companion
For more than ten years Chema has enjoyed the constant support of Roger, his guide dogwho was much more than just a loyal comrade. “It’s a very important part of my life,” he admits. However, after so many years of service, Roger is about to retire. Now the relationship between them is undergoing significant changes: it will be Chema’s turn to take care of Roger and accompany him in this new stage. “Roger took care of me for many years, worried about me, and now the moment has come when I can return that love and attention by being next to him,” Chema emotionally comments.

But Chema’s life goes far beyond technology and his friend Roger.
