Israel bombed another building in northern Gaza

Jerusalem (EFE).- At least 77 Palestinians, including 17 children, have been killed in an Israeli bombardment of a residential building in the city of Beit Lahiya, north of the Gaza Strip, where the army has been occupying for 24 days. An intense military siege.

According to reports from the enclave’s health officials, “hundreds of displaced civilians” were taking shelter in the five-story building.

They also condemned that the Israeli siege against the three main hospitals in northern Gaza is no longer able to treat dozens of injured people.

For its part, Palestinian media reported another airstrike shortly afterwards in Beit Lahiya, in the vicinity of the Kamal Adwan hospital, where some people affected by the bombing had already arrived.

The Israeli Army has not yet informed about that attack.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa assures that there are still dozens of people in the debris of the building, and so far at least 20 seriously injured have reached the Kamal Adwan Center.

Videos released after the “massacre”, in the term used by Palestinian officials, show dozens of bodies wrapped in blankets next to the debris of the attacked building.

For 24 days, Israel has maintained a military siege against northern Gaza, including an intensive bombing campaign coupled with ground incursions, which has resulted in more than a thousand deaths.

Also overnight, at least seven people were killed in two other attacks on homes in Beit Lahiya, according to Wafa, which also reported fire by the army – without specifying whether it was soldiers or Projectile – against Al Fajoura school, linked to the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

“In the Jabaliya area of ​​the Gaza Strip (northern), ground troops, with the support of the air force, killed approximately 40 militiamen in ground and air strikes,” a military statement this morning said of their activities in the north. He gave no hint of the attack in neighboring Beit Lahiya.

Additionally, armed forces killed an unknown number of militants in central Gaza who “intended to plant explosives near troops.”

According to the Hamas-ruled enclave’s health ministry, 43,020 Palestinians have been killed in the ravaged Gaza Strip since the war began on October 7 – most of them women and children – and another 101,110 wounded.
