Apple releases new Mac Mini, a giant killer with M4 and M4 Pro chips
The Californian company’s busiest week continues. Apple has unveiled its updated Mac Mini, featuring new M4 and M4 Pro chips that deliver significant boosts in power and graphics performance in an even smaller device that’s just 12.7cm wide. In this version, the company claims the Mac Mini with M4 processor 1.8 times faster than previous modeland the M4 Pro model expands this capability to target tasks that require higher performance.
Mac Mini is now carbon neutral
Apple emphasizes that the new model will be the first Mac with zero carbon emissions thanks to the use of recycled materials in more than 50% of the device and 100% renewable energy in production, which has achieved an 80% reduction in product-related pollutant gas emissions.
Significant performance improvements

The device includes Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system integrated into the Mac itself that, in addition to protecting privacy, allows users to perform complex tasks using tools for rewriting, reviewing and summarizing text. Siri has also been improved, now supports integration with ChatGPT for greater versatility when answering questions and performing tasks in the operating system.
Advanced connectivity and compatibility
The new Mac Mini has Thunderbolt 4 connectivity on the standard model and Thunderbolt 5 connectivity on the M4 Pro, which doubles the data transfer speed. It also offers front-panel USB-C ports, an HDMI port for monitors, and customizable options with up to 64GB of unified storage on the Pro model, providing a powerful and versatile alternative for professional users.
Availability and prices
