Angelina Jolie Reveals Why Her Six Children (Probably) Didn’t Overtake Her Actresses
In the media spotlight since birth, the six children of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would prefer to stay away from the spotlight and would not be attracted to the acting careers their parents have chosen. They all aspire to less fame and more discretion.
Now that they’re all grown up and about to make choices for the future, none of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s six children are likely to follow in their parent’s footsteps and pursue acting careers. At the premiere of her latest film, Maria, on October 27, the 49-year-old actress indulged in a few rare revelations about her children’s private lives.
And while she occasionally takes them out on the red carpet, she doesn’t expect them to embrace fame and acting in the coming years like she did. “I think they’re particularly shy, they’re very private,” she said in an interview with E! News . “They want to keep it private,” the mother of six added.
A discretion that clearly doesn’t bother her, especially because she knows all the support her children give her. “Any support, or anything that says you’ve done your job well, especially when it’s support where you care so much, it means a lot,” she concluded briefly.
“It meant a lot to have my boys with me”
Despite their reluctance to be part of the public sphere, Angelina Jolie’s children remain regulars on film sets. The actress’s two eldest, Maddox (23) and Pax (21), notably assisted Pablo Larrain, the director of the biopic on Maria Callas, during filming.
“Mad and Pax were on the set of Maria doing assistant director work,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in August 2024. “They’ve done it a few times, and I think it’s good for them.” The kids are clearly more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. “Pax tends to take pictures, and Pablo was wonderful; he recognized that he was good at it.”
