Silent Hill 2 Remake is not working on PS5 Pro, and fans are unhappy with Konami’s silence
More than a week after the PS5 Pro launched, Silent Hill 2 Remake still looks worse than it did on the base console. The horror game Bloober Team has been updated with PSSR upscaling technology, which has caused many technical issues on the platform. Despite complaints from players who warned Konami about the bugs, neither the Japanese company nor the Polish studio said anything publicly. Meanwhile the community shouted to the sky and complained about the lack of solutionsas can be seen from the responses on social networks.
“Silent Hill 2 remake on PS5 Pro is broken,” said user X, formerly known as Twitter. Reflections flicker everywhere, it’s impossible to play.” Another player had this to say on Reddit: “I finished downloading, launched and the bathroom cutscene came up, I came out and immediately noticed something was wrong without even seeing the gameplay or playing it beforehand. That’s how bad it is. According to the author, he was unable to play because he was distracted by the poor state of the game. “Please release a patch for PS5 Pro,” another disgruntled person commented.

Just because Konami isn’t publicly announcing a patch doesn’t mean they aren’t working on it, but the silence is helping to create a sense of uncertainty among the gaming community. The last tweet posted on the official Silent Hill 2 account was dated November 12th. and makes no mention of the state of the game on Sony’s new platform. The saddest thing is that the title says “Enhanced on PS5 Pro” when in fact it’s the other way around. We’ll have to wait and see if Konami comes up with a solution anytime soon.
