According to the report, a translator is available for participants in a Teams video call. Before starting a meeting, the app asks users to agree to use this feature. Once achieved, the interpretation is activated through a menu in which we can choose one of 9 available languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese.

Although interpreters were already available in Teams, the app required assigning a specialist to translate in real time during a call. Nicole Herskowitz, corporate vice president of productivity and collaboration at Copilot, noted that many companies can’t even afford a translator, so AI is a quality alternative.
