The heart of Chernobyl. The first fixes will appear next week


The launch of GSC Game World was a great success, but that doesn’t mean they can rest on their laurels. After the first days, first update for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobylwhich releases next week on both PC and Xbox consoles. And knowing that the community has a very ambitious plan for the future and the advent of mods, the first step is to solve the problems found by users.

All the work they did for this became known. first STALKER 2 update, with a post on the product page on Steam. Basically, a number of improvements and fixes are described, affecting all areas of the game. From visual issues to gameplay conflicts, the first updates are usually response to problems that arise.

The first update of STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl responds to detected errors

Among the bug fixes we find cases such as crasheswhere it was explained that memory allocation issues and bugs were discovered that were causing the game to end unexpectedly, especially in areas related to rendering, skeletal meshes, and mission scenes. Similarly, bugs were found blocking the main quest, such as NPCs getting stuck on items, incorrect quest markers, and issues with quest scenes. Issues with missing facial animations will be fixed in a similar manner. Poorly placed NPCs and visual inconsistencies. as if heads were being torn off and clothing was passing through.

Regarding the gaming experience, both due to collisions and due to balance, it is promised to adjust the prices of weapons with installed improvements and will improve NPC behaviorespecially in situations where there is no cover during Ejections. We have also discovered that there will be some changes to the UI, which will fix quest notifications during dialogues and correct missing text and interaction messages.

These are the changes that were announced as part of first update of STALKER 2but this is not the only thing they know about correction. Looking ahead, the development team has identified other issues that will be addressed in future updates, such as: errors in dead zones of analog sticks and failures in the A-Life system. GSC Game World expressed its gratitude to the community, in addition to the note it dedicated to them at the game’s launch, by reaching out to players with comments and suggestions, and reaffirmed its commitment to constantly improving the experience of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl is available on Xbox Series X and PC consoles and is part of the Game Pass catalog for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
