While fans are swooning over what Elizabeth Olsen calls her “Mother,” the actress herself does not know what to do with this expression of tenderness. I’m talking to Lionsgate TV during the premiere of her HBO Max drama series love and deathshe explained the same thing by saying:

“I’m conflicted. I’ve heard it’s a term of endearment. I feel like the internet is full of 12 year olds. I’m not trying to offend people, but I don’t understand it. And I’m not that old!”

During the same event, Entertainment Tonight got the chance to ask her the same thing. This time Avengers: Endgame the star admitted that she doesn’t really understand what the term means. considering she mostly prefers to stay away from social mediasaying:

“I think it’s really weird! I really don’t understand it,” Olsen admitted. “My friends tried to explain to me that this was, like, okay? “I don’t know.”

Continuing, she clarified that she is not in conflict with the current ‘mother’ and even found them “big,” but I just couldn’t help but feel “old” every time she heard someone call her by that nickname.

“I think mothers are wonderful, but I don’t know. It makes me feel old. Because I think the people who say this must be young? Like, I’m not sure how I feel about this.”

Well, Elizabeth Olsen may not understand why fans end her with those endearments, but Gen Z fans don’t seem to want to stop calling her that anytime soon, no matter how conflicted she might be about it!

Lately, the word has gained a lot of popularity among Gen Z fans and thus has made its way to Elizabeth Olsen.

Then there is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness The actress’ absolutely straightforward and frank personality, which simply does not allow her to sit still and watch what is happening without people paying attention to it.
