Ibex 35 opening: index rises after Santander results
Ibex 35 continues to rise by 0.2% in one session in which we already had a presentation of the results of Banco Santander. Investors will be paying close attention to the sector’s performance as it is fundamental to the index. Yesterday the team again exceeded the 10,000 point mark after an unsuccessful end to 2023.
On a macro level, we have an important meeting today at 7:45 pm on our YouTube channel, where we will follow the Fed decision and Powell’s speech live. You can access it by clicking here. In addition, we have data on inflation and unemployment rates for both France and Germany.
At a business level, we see Santander as the protagonist of the day, with growth of over 2%.. They were followed by ArcelorMittal and Cellnex, but the banking sector perceived Santander’s results as positive and continues the upward trend. On the other side of the table we have Grifols., which after several days of growth falls again by more than 2%. Inditex and Amadeus are down more than 1%.
