A case of swine flu has been detected in a farm worker in Lleida.
He European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) notified case of swine flu infection from the worker Farm Lleida, without being identified more related cases in the area.
Spanish authorities reported the infection. January 29 last year and was published in the ECDC weekly newsletter corresponding to the week of 28 January to 3 February.
According to the European agency’s report, the patient has a case of human infection with swine flu with a viral variant A(H1N1), V transmission from animal to human, which is unusual.

Patient has no previous events underlying disease and developed symptoms (cough with mucopurulent sputum, fever, malaise and myalgia) November 25.
There were no signs pneumonia after chest x-ray and the patient was diagnosed bronchitis when I was treated as an outpatient.
However, on December 12 the sample Nasal and oropharyngeal exudates tested positive for influenza A. and after more thorough analysis, swine influenza A(H1N1) was identified, ECDC said.
The patient has fully recovered and today no new cases detected between close contacts (family) or between farm colleagues.
