A new supercar has been spotted in the skies of Galicia, this time in broad daylight
Witnesses from southern Galicia report sightings at around 2:35 pm this Wednesday. a trail in the sky that describes a vertical trajectory and leaves a bluish light, like a supercar on the night of May 18-19. According to evidence collected on social networks, this phenomenon could be observed at FARO sites in Chapel, as well as in Tui, Sanxenxo, Leon and Coimbra (Portugal). Considering that it was visible at noon on a sunny day, the entry of this fireball into the atmosphere This must have caused a very large fire.
Attention was drawn to this fact Fireball and Meteorite Research Network (SPMN), who asked social media for random footage of this day’s race car. This was supported by astrophysicist Josep M. Trigo, SPMN coordinator. Given the timing of the phenomenon, which coincided with lunch in Spain, it could have been seen by far fewer witnesses than on the night of Saturday May 18-19, when there were many people on the streets and terraces. Additionally, cameras controlled by this non-profit network They usually don’t work during the day. That’s why it’s hard to find footage of this new supercar.
“Being a completely unpredictable phenomenon, we must constantly monitor the sky until fortune smiles on us and a glowing meteor appears. This way, astronomers can update the list of fireballs over Spain and neighboring countries daily,” says Josep M. Trigo in a recent article in The Conversation. “The May 19 super storm once again demonstrated that perhaps people do not appreciate enough how our atmosphere can protect us from these dangerous and unexpected natural projectiles.”
According to Trigo, that exceptional car that appeared a few weeks ago may have resulted from the disintegration of a comet, had a diameter of just under a meter and a mass of about 700 kilograms. Its progressive decay left behind a path of light more than 500 kilometers long.
