Lyrics to Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”
Seven hours and 15 days have passed
Since you took away your love
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took away your love
Since you’re gone, I can do whatever I want.
I can see whoever I choose
I can have dinner at a fancy restaurant
but nothing
I said nothing can get rid of these blues
‘Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
It’s been so lonely here without you
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling.
Tell me baby where did I go wrong?
I could hug every boy I see
But they would only remind me of you
I went to the doctor, guess what he told me
Guess what he told me
He said, “Girl, you better try to have fun, whatever you do.”
But he’s a fool
‘Cause nothing compares, nothing compares to you
All the flowers you planted, Mom.
In the backyard
Everyone died when you left
I know living with you baby was hard sometimes
But I’m willing to give it one more try
nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
