The impact caused serious problems at the residence, such as water leaks and deficiencies in the electric power service. Both challenges added to exacerbate the health conditions facing the couple, who have been married for more than 54 years.
“My hobby is doing housework, but, at the same time, with my TV on watching them with you,” Padró said on the program broadcast by Telemundo, acknowledging that damage to his property has limited his access to receiving therapies for sleep apnea.
However, the country did not sit idly by after it became known that the couple received free help to seal the roof and fix the electrical connection in their home, in addition to a variety of resources to improve the living conditions of both.
“I thank you very much for this, that my place will always be ready for you and for whoever you want too,” said the woman, who worked for 20 years as a housekeeper in the municipality of Trujillo Alto to support her husband, who faces a complex clinical health picture.
Among the contributions that Padró received, the Municipality of Carolina announced that the couple qualified for the “Viva Carolina” program, a community social program that provides direct services in the community through mobile units that go to the home.
In addition, Mayor José Aponte Dalmau authorized his city council to take the necessary steps to repair the roof of the house, replace the kitchen cabinets, fix the bathroom, install new doors, and paint the residence inside and out.
The Master Group company also donated eight pails of Masterflex roof sealant, and the repair materials required before the process, which are valued at $2,000. Likewise, the company provided part of the paint that will be used to renovate the house.
On the other hand, the couple will receive the free service of an electrician expert to fix the energy intermittency experienced by the home. Likewise, the production of “Día a Día” assured that it will cover the costs of the materials required for this arrangement.
Meanwhile, the Ahorro Muebles business joined the cause to donate a new bedroom set, with a “queen” bed and a mattress for the couple. Another company that joined hands was Mueblerías Berríos, which gave away a living room set and a dining room set, since their previous items were affected by the filtered water.
Regarding health, the company AMES, Inc., located in Bayamón, donated a new therapy machine so that Padró can attend to his respiratory conditions from his home.
Also, another exciting moment in the segment of Revive Hope It was when the program team gave the family a new television so that they can continue watching the television space from the comfort of their home. “Oh, thank you, thank you very much!” Ana expressed, after she hugged the entertainer Victor Santiago and the comedian Carlos Ramírez.

“I am happy, I am very happy, because I am seeing, personally, my loved ones and my family from ‘Día a Día’, that I see them every day. I love them very much, I really do, ”said Ana, after hugging Raymond Arrieta, to whom she showed great affection.
