‘Airbenders’ Creator John Orloff Signs to Verve
EXCLUSIVE: Emmy-nominated writer John Orloff, creator of the highly anticipated Apple TV series Masters of the Airyou signed a representation with Verve.
Masters of the Air, The film, produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman and starring Austin Butler and Barry Keoghan, opens on Friday, January 26th. The limited series, based on the book by Donald L. Miller, tells the true story of America’s bomber force around the world. Second war. In addition to creating the series, Orlov wrote all nine episodes.

Orlov’s previous works include the critically acclaimed Brotherhood, which earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries. It won seven Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for Best Miniseries, and at the time it was the most expensive miniseries ever made. He also wrote To the Mighty Heart, for which he received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best First Screenplay and Angelina Jolie a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. In addition, he worked on Legend of the Guardiansdirector Zack Snyder, and historical epic Anonymousdirected by Roland Emmerich.
Orlov, who previously worked at CAA, will continue to be represented by attorneys Ken Richman and Brian Swatt at Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
