Alex Laws defeats Andrea Locatelli and Razgatlioglu
British Alex Laws won the Phillip Island Superpole race.reunited with victory four years later in the same scenario as the previous one, with the Italian Andrea Locatelli repeating yesterday’s second position and Turkish Toprak Razgatlioglu took his first victory in a BMW, beating the Spaniard Alvaro Bautista.

Andrea Iannone took control ahead of Alex Lowes, Nicolo Bulegi and Toprak Razgatlioglu. At the end of the first lap, Lowes put the bike on Iannone while Razgatlioglu passed Bulega, who was also passed by Remy Gardner in front of sixth-placed Alvaro Bautista.
After waiting a couple of laps in anticipation, Iannone regained the lead at the end of lap three ahead of Lowes, after which Gardner and Razgatlioglu battled under the watchful eye of the passing Bulega Bautista. Behind Bradley Ray fell, whose abandonment joined that of Tarran Mackenzie. who entered the pits before completing a lap.
