All about the new generation Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Fernando Alonso’s car, or at least the one he’s currently announcing, is the new Aston Martin Vantage, which was recently unveiled in Madrid. This new generation is based entirely on the previous one, adding numerous improvements to make the Vantage an even faster, more powerful and exclusive supercar. The new Aston Martin Vantage is 4.5 meters long and its power has been increased to 655 horsepower. It uses the same aluminum body, but with stronger structural reinforcements that allow it to withstand superior engine energy. Its price starts from 250,000 euros, and the first copies will be delivered in the second quarter of this year.
It is based on the model that appeared in 2018, but has so many changes that the brand is talking about a new generation. It still uses an aluminum platform with the engine mounted longitudinally at the front. On the outside we see new headlights, now matrix LEDs, a more muscular bonnet, a different style of mirrors and a new front and rear design, always maintaining the signature Aston Martin style.
The new Vantage is powered by a Mercedes-sourced V8 engine. It’s a twin-turbo eight-cylinder V-twin engine that has been reworked in many places to go from the previous 510 hp. to an important 665 hp. It is thus positioned as an alternative to models such as the Porsche 911 Turbo S or the Audi R8, which will disappear this year, among others. It now has new shock absorbers and larger brakes, which can be optional carbon-ceramic. It features a sophisticated rear limited-slip differential, as well as an eight-position traction control system with three driving programs: WET, ON and Track.
The interior of the new Aston Martin Vantage features a new instrument panel with an integrated large screen, in addition to all the elegance that has always characterized this model. Improve your call quality with standard AndroidAuto and Apple Carplay wireless systems.
The popularity of the Aston Martin brand in Spain continues to grow. Fernando Alonso’s renewed signing with the British firm, which is also the last contract the Spaniard will have as a Formula One driver, has only intensified Aston’s focus. A good proof of this is the growth in sales across Europe, which, with 1.84 units sold, grew by 38 percent in 2023.
In our country, growth is 29 percent, so there was probably a Fernando Alonso effect. In any case, we are talking about a total of 1,584 units sold throughout Europe, of which 689 corresponded to the SUV variant.
