All changes to the League of Legends map at the start of the 2024 season

The start of the 2024 League of Legends season will introduce a series of map changes to all lanes in the game.

League of Legends is a very complex game with champions and items that take years to fully understand. Once you understand those concepts, you’ll be faced with other even more critical concepts such as protection, wave management, macro map, objective control, and much more.

However, it looks like the complexity is about to increase as Riot Games has decided to make changes to Summoner’s Rift.

While the changes may seem small, they will have a big impact on how players control their lanes, how aggressive they can get, and how junglers gank lanes.

Each map change will come to League in 2024

Here’s everything we know so far about the jungle changes in the 2024 League of Legends season opener.

Street higher

Top lane will include two major changes at the start of the 2024 League of Legends season:

• From now on the terrain on both sides will be faithfully reflected.
• Towards the entrance to the river, a combination of brush and small wall has been introduced.

Jungle

In the jungle, the only major map changes that have been introduced are the new wide walls crossing the Dragon and Baron pits.

Middle lane

In the middle lane, the weeds at the river entrance have moved back a little. This will be beneficial for those champions who have less mobility and are threatened by ambushes from enemies hiding within those bushes.

Lane Bot

In the bot lane, there are three major changes you can expect in the 2024 League of Legends season:

• The blue three-brush area in the bottom lane will be reflected on the red side.
• The two sides will be much more symmetrical and the advantages related to the sides will be reduced.
• As in the top lane, a small brush and wall combination was added to the river entrance.

The developers want to provide more symmetry in the top and bottom lanes, but security in the middle lane.

These changes will not only alter laning stage and objective control, but also the way flanking and teleports work during teamfights.
