Amanda Seyfried to Lead Peacock Limited Series ‘Long Bright River’

Logline: Long bright river tells the story of Mickey (Amanda Seyfried), a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighborhood hit hard by the opioid crisis. When a murder spree begins in the neighborhood, Mickey realizes his personal story may be connected to the case.
“We’re thrilled that Amanda Seyfried will lead this series on how those initially seen as victims can come together to take back their power,” Liz Moore and Nikki Toscano said in a joint press release. “The story of the Moore family and their work with harm reduction and community service organizations in Philadelphia informs the series, which aims to show compassion for the lives of those struggling with addiction and the family members who love them.”
Tuscan (Offer, Hunters) and Moore (Long bright river) will write and executive produce, with Toscano serving as showrunner. Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty and Amanda Lewis will executive produce for Original Film and Amy Pascal will executive produce for Pascal Pictures.
