Amy Schumer mocks Nicole Kidman and calls her an ‘alien’ – Las Noticias de Chihuahua – Antrelíneas

Famous American comedian and actress Amy Schumer has been embroiled in controversy after making fun of a picture of Nicole Kidman during the US Open.

Schumer’s Instagram post, which she thought would be funny, has been accused of “cyberbullying” towards the “Moulin Rouge” actress.

Amy Schumer, 42, shared a photo of Nicole Kidman during the US Open tennis tournament on her Instagram account. The image shows Kidman, wearing pink, staring into the camera, with one hand on her chin, watching the women’s singles final between Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka.

Along with the photo, Schumer wrote in the caption: “This is how a human being sits,” mocking Kidman’s perfectionism in everything.

Schumer’s post received criticism from some followers, who believed she was cyberbullying Nicole Kidman. One follower commented: “Are you cyberbullying Oscar and Emmy winner Nicole Kidman right now?” Another wrote: “Putting others down is always a sign of our own internal insecurities, so critics should look in the mirror.”

Faced with criticism, Schumer decided to remove the publication from her Instagram account, but she didn’t leave the matter there, as she issued a sharp apology.

Amy Schumer did not let the controversy go unnoticed and returned to Instagram to issue a sarcastic apology.

In a screenshot of the post, which has also been deleted, Schumer wrote: “I want to apologize to everyone I offended by posting a photo of Nicole Kidman pretending she was an alien. I will be asking the cast of That ’70s Show to write letters advocating for my pardon. #TakingTimeToHeal.”

This made those network users even more angry, because not only did Kidman continue to make fun of them, but she also touched on a sensitive topic like the Danny Masterson sexual abuse case.

Sources close to Nicole Kidman revealed that the actress is not affected by the controversy and considers it minor. According to DailyMail, the actress paid no attention to the controversy and commented: “It’s a bit ridiculous and he doesn’t care.”

This is not the first time that Amy Schumer is surrounded by controversies. Recently, the comedian criticized celebrities who lose weight but do not admit that they are using the diabetes drug Ozempic.

During an appearance on the program “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen, Schumer invited celebrities to be honest and stop hiding their drug use.
