Ander Cantero, Black and White goalkeeper | Burgos
After the important renewals of Curro, Cordoba, Atienza and Loïc, the Burgos club confirms a new acquisition in the summer market. Navarro goalkeeper Ander Cantero signs a contract with the black and white team until 2027. The Pamplona goalkeeper arrives at El Plantio after playing every minute of Racing de Ferrol’s great campaign.
Ander Cantero Armendáriz (Pamplona, 1995) made the leap to senior football at just 17 years old, moving from the youth ranks to the reserves of Atlético Osasuna. After two good seasons with the reserves of Rojillo, Cantero gained experience at Zamora and two other prestigious academies, Real Madrid and Villarreal. Moreover, in his last year with the subsidiary of Grogueta, he achieved the transition to professional football.
At 23, the Pamplona goalkeeper has established himself in professional football, having played for Rayo Majadahonda, Lugo and Eibar before his final season at Racing de Ferrol. In total, the player has already played more than 13,500 minutes of professional football.
In the recent 23-24 match, Ander Cantero has been the goalkeeper for Racing de Ferrol in all of the Galician team’s league matches, playing more than 3,800 minutes. Thanks to his agility, excellent reflexes and intuition, he has not conceded a single goal in 10 of those encounters.
We wish good luck to the new player of FC Burgos, welcome Ander!
