The head of US diplomacy, Anthony Blinkendenounced this Monday that Iran is supplying Russia with drones “with which innocent people die” in Ukraineat a conference in Israel as part of his Middle East tour.
Together with the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, he stressed that they agree that Iran’s regime “must never have a nuclear weapon.”
“One of the most effective ways to keep Israel safe is to increase ties in the region,” he said, highlighting the Abraham Accords with which the country normalized relations with Arab countries. “It is important that the government and the people know that the US commitment to Israel’s security remains unwavering,” she said.
In addition, he stressed the need to preserve the conditions to reach the two-State solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Also, he again expressed his condolences for the seven Israelis recently killed in a terrorist attack, and asked to take “urgent steps” to restore calm and de-escalate the situation. “Taking an innocent life in an act of terrorism is always a heinous crime, but attacking people outside their place of worship is particularly shocking,” he had previously noted, referring to an attack on Friday that killed seven people, many of which came out of a Jerusalem synagogue.
The latest wave of violence erupted last week with an Israeli military raid on a stronghold in the West Bank city of Jenin that killed 10 people, mostly militants, followed by a shooting attack on a Jewish settlement in east Jerusalem. which claimed the lives of seven Israelis.
