Apple plans to unveil its new iPhones, AirPods and Watches on September 10.

Bloomberg — Apple Inc. (AAPL) Plans to Celebrate your biggest product launch event on Sept. 10, when the company will unveil its latest iPhones, watches and AirPods, according to people familiar with the matter.

While no timeline has been announced, the company is preparing for the date, which is Tuesday, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans are private. After the presentation, The phones will go on sale on September 20.which is in line with Apple’s usual approach in recent years.

A Cupertino, California-based Apple spokesman declined to comment.

It’s a critical launch for Apple, which has suffered from sluggish sales of its smartphones and wearables in recent quarters. The launch of the new iPhone 16 on Sept. 20 will mean some of the revenue from the device will be booked in the current period — Apple’s fiscal fourth quarter — when the company expects sales to grow about 5% from a year earlier.

Most of the sales will occur in the next quarter, which coincides with the holiday season. Analysts had forecast revenue growth of 7%. up to US$128.4 billion over the period.

The iPhone 16 will feature larger screens on the Pro models and new camera features like a dedicated photo button. The company is also rolling out a suite of artificial intelligence tools called Apple Intelligence. Overall, though, the phones won’t be much different from last year’s models.

Apple’s wearables, for their part, are getting a big makeover. The Apple Watch Series 10 models will be thinner but feature larger screens. And Apple is updating its AirPods line with new low- and mid-range versions. The company will offer noise cancellation on its mid-range AirPods for the first time, and the base model will get its first update since 2019.

To that end, the company has stepped up testing of four new Mac models to ensure compatibility with third-party apps, according to developer test logs published by Bloomberg News. That’s a key step before the new machines are launched. The new Macs are labeled “16.1,” “16.2,” “16.3,” and “16.10.”

All of them are models with entry-level versions of the M4 chip. The three Macs have a total of 10 cores in their central processing units, or CPUs, while the entry-level version includes eight cores, which is a measure of performance. The versions with 10 core CPUs also have 10 core GPUs, or graphics processors. Meanwhile, the eight-core CPU model has an eight-core graphics engine. All of them have either 16 or 32 gigabytes of memory.

The 10-core processor has the same specs as the iPad Pro’s M4 processor, including four high-performance parts and six efficiency-focused cores. But the fourth chip spotted in the developer logs includes just eight cores, split between four high-performance parts and four efficiency cores.
